Regular Services

Holy Communion (BCP)

Sunday 8.30am

Intimate and reflective service, with a sermon, but no hymns. It attracts a loyal congregation of 15-20 people, and is particularly popular amongst our more senior parishioners.

Parish Eucharist (CW)

Sunday 10.30am

This is our main service of the week, especially aimed at families, and regularly attended by 100-150 adults and 70 children. Music includes hymns, congregational mass setting, and motets ‘from Palestrina to Parry’ sung to a high standard by our choir. There is a crèche facility for the under 3 year olds, and for most services, Sunday Schools operate for the 3 – 11 age groups, creating space and serenity, and attentiveness at sermon time! The whole congregation comes together at communion.

We come together for an All Age Eucharist at certain times of the year: Candlemas, Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival.

Choral Evensong (BCP)

Sunday 6.00pm

First Sunday of the month (with the exception of August). Sung by Larks Ascending, a small Chamber Choir, to a professional standard, with homily.

Morning Prayer (CCP)

Monday to Friday 9.15am

A quiet, reflective, said service in the chancel, with readings from the scripture and the recitation of psalms, working through a cycle of prayer for the parish. Currently led in rotation by the Vicar, Pastoral Assistant and laypeople.

Thursday Eucharist (CW)

Thursday 10.00am

Very child-friendly service attended by parents/carers and their children. This service is followed immediately by the Baby and Toddler Playgroup at 10.30 with play, music and singing.
