Weddings
All Saints’ Church provides a beautiful, traditional and almost rural setting for a wedding, whilst St Mary’s has a more modern interior and is situated on the bustling high street.
In order to be eligible to marry at either All Saints’ Church or St Mary’s Church, you must either live within the parish check parish or be registered on the Parish Electoral Roll or should be able to demonstrate a Qualifying Connection to the parish, listed here.
If you are interested in marrying at All Saints’ Church, and have a Qualifying Connection to the parish, please contact Carolyn Biddick.
We are sorry, but we are unable to hold weddings on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Banns
If you are getting married at All Saints’ Church, your banns will automatically be published at the church (however if you live outside the parish, you should note that in addition, you will be responsible for arranging banns to be read at your local parish church, and providing All Saints’ Church with a banns certificate before the wedding day to show that this has been done).
If you live within the parish, but are getting married outside the parish, you should contact Sophy Jubb on 020 8394 6067 (Tues am/Fri am) to arrange to have banns published at St Mary’s Church.
Baptisms
We are fortunate enough to be able to celebrate around 100 baptisms within the parish each year. As a result our churches have lots of children of all ages who attend our services. We follow the Church of England practice which states that anyone who lives within the parish, or who is on the Parish Electoral Register, is welcome to be baptised, or for their children to be baptised. Which parish do I live in? Check Parish.
At All Saints’ Church, Services of Baptism are held approximately once or twice a month (depending on demand) at 12.00 pm following the main Parish Eucharist. Prior to the baptism you will be required to attend one preparation session run by the clergy, providing the opportunity to find out a bit more about baptism, what it means and how the service will run.
To arrange a baptism please contact Carolyn Biddick
Funeral Services in Church
It is possible to have a funeral service in the church if the deceased lived within the parish, or worshipped at the church.
Please contact Carolyn Biddick for more information and to discuss this further.
Home Communion
We minister the sacrament to those in hospital and those either ill at home, or too frail to attend church.
To make arrangements for a home communion please contact the church office 020 3185 2013
