What do we want to achieve?

With our All Together Stewardship Campaign, we have chosen 5 targets that we think are achievable if we work together to make it happen. These are:

• Fund a new Priest

• Expand our worship for children and young people

• Suport Mission and Ministry within deprived areas of South London

• Develop our tradition of sacred music

• Employ a Pastoral Assistant to help us make it happen

How you can help

We will be using this page to offer suggestions and report updates on how the campagn is progressing. Please check back in the future to find out how you can be involved!

All Together All Saints' - An Introduction

On this Mothering Sunday we are celebrating the Church. Traditionally the Church has been know as Mother Church. And Today we are launching our campaign. All Together All Saints. It’s an opportunity over the next couple of months to think and pray and get involved in discovering what it might mean to be church.

Our Church here in All Saints is not only Mother Church it is also Mother ship. Around this ‘mother ship’ satellite lots of other smaller boats that nurture and support so many good, helpful and worthwhile things. These things  ‘Tell out’ the Love of God to our community and city.

We nurture and educate our children in an open and accessible Christian Faith. We raise an enormous amount of money for charity. We tend to our Mums and Toddlers and support our senior citizens. We are home to concerts and choirs. We visit the sick, marry lovers, baptize the young, bury the dead and hold on to those who are sad and sorrowful. As a Church we support churches in other parts of our city who, without your help, could not possibly afford to have a Church. And week by week, month by month we worship God and pray for our community.

That’s what we do. No other single institution does all that. The mother ship has to be kept in shape otherwise none of these smaller boats have a docking station.

As your Vicar my hope for All Saints church is that it continues to grow as a friendly welcoming and inclusive church for Putney. ‘All Together All Saints’ sets out my vision for the future. This is your invitation to be  a part of that future.

The first thing to say. ‘All Together All Saints’ is not primarily about money!  Of course money and resources will come into the mix, but it is not the whole cake. This vision is about encouraging people to make connections across our community and discover what we can do together to develop and enrich our Christian lives.  ‘All Together All Saints’ is about shared values and shared ambitions. It’s about getting to know the person behind the face in church that we recognise but don’t really know. It’s about getting more involved, feeling more welcome, making more friends.

Our vision involves a series of things we can do and resource if we all join in. A New Priest. A New Pastoral assistant. Enriching our spirituality. Expanding our Mission. Developing excellence in our music for old and young alike. New services for children and young people and a continued resolve to help the poor and the disadvantaged.
‘All Together All Saints’ is about encouraging our church to grow in wards and outwards. It’s about connectivity, vision and ‘can do’ enthusiasm. There are a number of  ways you can be a part of this adventure.  Over the next 2 months we are hosting no less than 16 parties. Summer events to help you get to know your church. We have a list of people to invite  but everyone can get an invite to  an ‘All Together’ event. There’s a list at the back of church and if you want an invitation then sign the list and you’ll get one.

We have dinner parties and Lunch parties.

Cocktail Parties and Tea Parties.

We have Banquets and BBQ’s.

Whether you’ve been a member of this church for 50 years or 50 days I hope you’ll go to a party when your invitation drops through your door. You can meet people, share experiences and catch the vision of ‘All Together All Saints’ Putney and enjoy some good food and wine too!

Oh, yes. Put Saturday June 25th at 7.00pm in to your diary. This is our ‘The Big Finish’ party in the grounds of our church. It will be a fantastic occasion for Grownups and children alike. You are invited!!

You have a post card with our vision all laid out. Now our children are going to give out the All Together All Saints badges. Specially designed for the purpose. I want you to wear your badge around Putney. I want you to wear it every Sunday in church during May and June to remind us that we are all part of this big adventure. After our service today we’ll be launching our Balloon race and launching All Together All Saints as well. Take up the invitation. All together we can do wonderful things.
